Join us for an in-person event at TNSBH-Knoxville where we'll come together to create a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community. This event aims to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and educate mental health professionals on challenges individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community face and how to practice from a sensitive and informed perspective.
1. Understand the covert and overt challenges members of the LGBTQIA+ face and ways in which you can incorporate this knowledge into practice
2. Gain knowledge on current terminology within the LGBTQIA+ community, understanding how this information can assist clinical practices in providing an informed and sensitive approach
3. Provide examples on how to best respond to individuals who express their identity within the LGBTQIA+ community, incorporating role play within the seminar as a means to practice these skills in a safe environment
